What a Beautiful Day!

Carley was a delight to work with. Her Biggest concern was the dark cirlcles around her eyes. I said oooo Carley my pet!............Do not fear Sherry ....................

................has a magic wand! Without this knowlege you might be mistaken and think that she is the first bride to sleep through the night, but nope....I really do have a magic wand! It is called a concealer brush! She was a little unsure during our consultation of whether she should get her make-up done, but make-up really is such an important investment for your wedding. There are a couple factors that I see as critical. First, your face should look flawless in person, as well as on prints which are two very different worlds. And finally, unless you want your wedding picture that you will have in your house mocked daily in 20 years by your children and everyone else that comes over to your house, it might be a good idea to look stunning without having to use the latest fad. I still make fun of by dad's belly shirts and cut off shorts! No he did not wear this to his wedding.

Isn't this just so fun! She was so good with me. After talking about her dress, veil, and all that jazz, she basically said "I don't want a tight bun and I don't want a big "thing" on the top of my head". Then she stated, "I trust you"..... good to know Carley. I always dream about the hair the night before the wedding and try to figure out a "plan" of what I am going to do, but honestly, it all comes to me seconds before I pin each piece. Whatever! I guess that is just the way I work, and it works!

The best part was when her little brother runs up stairs and says. "Carley how do you know that she will do a good job? What if it is just really ugly?" What a liable and honest question. I think I will use this experience from now on to explain why a trial is so valuable. It is safe to say that both she and I were relieved that the "what if" did not become reality.

I sound like a broken record, but I will post better pictures later! I must put in that Carley picked a great guy! He has been my friend for a long time. Infact, one time when I was 14 he asked me to dance and when he spun me, my braces got caught on his shirt and ripped a big hole(it was acutally his brother's shirt)! What is worse is he kept spinning me while I had blue thread hanging from my teeth! That is why Carley took off her braces for the wedding. Kidding......about her teeth. My experience on the other hand was definately real and infact to this day quite vivid in my memory! Congrats Cody and Carley!

More Wedding Bells!

These are 3 of the girls out of the 7 that I will be doing for Stefanie's wedding. One thing I love about being a make-up artist, is how I get to work on an variety of faces, which is truely like painting on a living canvas!

Another things I love about what I do is I see how origional everyone's beauty is. Did you know that there is no replica of your face in the entire world? Not only that, but there never was and there never will be! Cherish what you got because, most things is this world that are this rare only Bill Gates can afford! What a loving Father we have to give us our bodies as a gift!

I look forward to putting the actual pictures from Steph's wedding on here. I will also give a little more description on what I did and why I chose the colors that I did! STAY TUNED!....... I sound like a television show....... Don't touch that dial! te he

Priddy in Pink!

My Mommy's flowers were feeling left out of all of my before and after shots, so I included them in the fun! For those who may be a little slower than usual...the above is my before and the below is my after.

Aren't these the prettiest colors of pink that you have ever layed your eyes on? I am also proud of my mommy seeing as the after shots aren't like my flowers....... dead. I guess I have yet to learn in the world of horitculture. Til then, I'll just take pictures.

Here comes the Bride!

This is Sarah's before. Do you think this looks like a lot of hair? Think again! More than half of it is behind her shoulders pulled back into a pony tail!

Sarah didn't want all of her hair up. Can you blame her??? It is hard for new borns to keep their head up and they don't even have a lot of hair! When I look at sarah's finished look, to me it shouts princess! Stay tuned for more details and photos! She is going to send me some of the ones of her with her tierra on and...well...of course her dress!!!

Now this is PRETTY!

These are the pictures from Katelyn's Graduation.
I stole the watermelon picture off the Sladek's Blogspot, because I forgot to take a before picture! Thanks Alysha!

The inspiration for this updo came from a picture that caught her eye, but we modified it for a softer feel with the addition of some loose tendrils around the perimeter. I placed the concentration of her updo just abover her occipital bone to highlight the beauty of the high neckline in the rear of her gown. This look was created with the aid of my favorite Kenra spritz which gives a fabulous hold without the frizz! The finishing touch is given by Soma's Shine Spray which is light, brilliant and smells delightful!

I used a monocromatic color scheme on Katelyn's face to create a soft harmoneous blend with the beautiful detailing of her dress. Katelyn wanted to brighten her blue eyes and have them as the focal point of her face, for that reason, using my color wheel knowledege, I selected blues complimentary colors of peaches and golds. In view of the fact of her fair features, I used Bed Head's brown pencil on her bottom lash line, and lined the top with one of Mac's fluid line. It is black with a subtle but stunning touch of gold flecks. Katelyn also is wearing individual false lashes that make her eyes really scream for attention. It worked didn't it!?

Save it for a Rainy Day!

It is amazing what a rainy day and a little spontaneity can do! This is me and my two best buds. I know this has nothing to do with looking pretty but...too bad. There is nothing like a one good splash in a puddle........

Ok one is never enough..............

Pretty Colors!

I was driving home from work and I was having serious cravings for creativity and color. I think my office job puts me into withdrawls. When I got home I immediately went to my room and experimented with some vibrant colors on the pout! I also played with some flouresant and natural lighting. As fun as it was, taking face shots of myself usually doesn't work very well! I don't think many models on the cover of vogue took their own picture! Needless to say, I was estatic when not long after, Brady showed up at my door! I couldn't ask for a cooler brother! He is so talented. Heavenly Father is so kind to give us Talents. I am very grateful for mine and there is nothing as great as sharing them. The following are some pics that we took together! I am delighted to say that my craving was not only satisfied but my frown was turned upside down for the rest of the evening! :)
