How to look and feel lovely.

So, today I was contemplating what it means to be modest. As always, I was led to the words of the prophets and found a great quote by the beloved Pres. Hinckley. He says, "I do not hesitate to say that you can be attractive without being immodest. You can be refreshing and buoyant and beautiful in your dress and in your behavior. Your appeal to others will come of your personality, which is the sum of your individual characteristics." This message is quite the opposite of what many hollywood stars and magazines, advertisement and even many men are sending to us. I am confident in saying that you do not need to reveal your body to be beautiful. As I once told my girls when I was a counselor at EFY. "If you want a boy to listen to you, be modest. Either he will be looking at your body, or trying not to. Both of which are a strong distraction from listening to what you have to say." I am still on my journey to not feeling like my body is how I get approval and attention, because I admit that I have believed that for most of my life. Change takes time and I am working towards not using my body as a tool to get approval and attention. That was not God's purpose in giving it to me. So if the purpose of the body is not to gain approval and attention, what then is it's purpose? I will leave that to you to search for yourself. For real girls, modesty makes you look pretty. Besides, tell me those swimsuites are not way cute. I want the wicked cany cane one! If you click on the title of this post you will go to the website where I found these pics. It is so good. Trust me.

Wealth, Fame, Beauty? What for?

It is kind of crazy, how much lives are driven by the desire to be happy. Unfortunately, however, one often finds himself searching for happiness in the wrong places....money, sex, drugs, food, fame, beauty or even just acceptance by your friends and family. After reading a great talk by Elder Packer I am determined to unmask the horrible lies that Satan throws out all around us. FAME BEAUTY AND MONEY DO NOT BRING HAPPINESS. How do I know? I know because there are many rich people in the world who are not happy and some of the happiest people I know live to just have enough to put food on the table and a roof overhead. Elder Packer lays it out plainly how to find happiness. Check it out. LDS.org - Liahona Article - The Decision of Life

In a wrap if you want to feel beautiful, be kind. If you want to feel wealthy, pause to think about the worth of the people in your life and if you want to have fame, love children. They will admire you and be your number one fan.

For real guys, serving others makes you pretty!

STOP CELEBRITY GOSSIP!

It crushes me to see how people can be so critical and mean to famous people. They treat them almost as if they are animals without feelings. Fame is a calling that they take on. A heavy calling. A difficult calling. I wish the world would give them some slack and stop being so jealous. I have never walked in a famous person's shoes, but I I have had others try to bring me down out of jealousy as I am sure we all have and it is no fun. Nope. So next time you catch yourself feeling justified talking smack about a celebrity remember that the golden rule applies to them too. For real guys, gossiping makes you look ugly. (so will the girl on the left's bangs)

Ok, I will start blogging again.

So, it has been a while. I guess I have been in and out of this blogging thing. I really do like it.. a lot. Now that I am done with my university class and blogging all of my silly videos, I can be for real. Life is hard, ya know? I find myself being pushed to my limits everyday, but I am a fighter. Giving up is not something that I am very good at doing. Just give me one of those stupid puzzle things and you will see. ooo like the last one was when someone challenged me to stack three golf balls on top of each other. Bad idea.
