Don't need a rainbow to smile at the sky!

So here I was, last night, in my bright green Nike capri's thinking... "what a boring night. I need something to do." Suddenly my brother Chris comes running down the stairs and says, "Look! there is a cool rainbow!" It was a double rainbow and you could see the whole arc! It indeed was one of the most brilliant rainbows I had ever seen. As you can suppose, I hussled to find my camera, but it took me a while. Why? I had left it in my car. Sadly to say, by this time the rainbows had faded signifigantly.
Although I was discouraged about missing the rainbows, I did not have time to feel sorry for my self. As you can see, the sky was still full of excitement!

This is one of my favorite spots in Leduc. There are many qualities that make it such a beautiful resivoir. I will list a few. The whole body of water is surrounded by cat tails and tall green grass which help provide many ducks, geese and other organisms a peaceful habitat. I go running on the path that surrounds it, and my favorite time is in the spring because there are scads of little ducklings running around. Lastly, as you can see in the pictures, the greenery and reflection in the water is a magnificent compliment to our daily sunrises and sunsets.

I posted the below scripture taken from the Doctrine and Covenants, because it does a better job at describing how I feel than I do!
Doctrine and Covenants 128:23
Let the mountains shout for joy, and all ye valleys cry aloud; and all ye seas and dry lands tell the wonders of your Eternal King! And ye rivers, and brooks, and rills, flow down with gladness. Let the woods and all the trees of the field praise the Lord; and ye solid rocks weep for joy! And let the sun, moon, and the morning stars sing together, and let all the sons of God shout for joy! And let the eternal creations declare his name forever and ever! And again I say, how glorious is the voice we hear from heaven, proclaiming in our ears, glory, and salvation, and honor, and immortality, and eternal life; kingdoms, principalities, and powers!

Sometimes we miss out on some of the good things in life such as a pretty rainbow. Through this experience, I have learned that in life it is when we dwell on what we are missing that we really miss out.

Till I capture a rainbow.... or two...check this one out!http://www.tahoetwisters.com/NaturePhoto/rainbow.htm
